Course objectives

1. An understanding of the current status of TEI P5
2. TEI P5 options to encode dictionaries
3. Discussing encoding problems of historical dictionaries (the casestudy of Campe’s dictionary)
4. Practical experience in generating and modifying TEI P5 conformant schemas
5. Producing samples and description of model entries based on the Campe dictionary
6. Handling annotations in TEI

Course Prerequisites and teachers

The course assumes some previous knowledge of the basics of XML encoding in general and of the TEI system (P5) in particular. Further reading:
